Plate changes
A changed plate isn’t always innocent. See the full registration history.
Private plates can mask a car’s true age. Transferred plates can obscure previous identities. We trace every registration change tied to the chassis so you can see the full picture — not just the plate that’s on it today.

Why plates change
Private plates are transferred for personalisation. But plates also change when a car is re-registered after import, after a category write-off repair, or simply to make a car harder to trace. Not every change is suspicious — but every change should be visible.
What we show
Every registration number recorded against this vehicle’s MOT history, with the date each change was first observed. If the plate on the car today is different from the one it was tested with three years ago, you’ll see exactly when the switch happened.
What to watch for
Plate changes that coincide with a write-off or a rapid succession of keepers. A private plate added just before sale can sometimes be used to hide the car’s true age from casual buyers. The MOT timeline cuts through that.
